Meet Revatha

Revatha Loghashankar is a College Admissions Coach dedicated to empowering teens to navigate the college admissions process with confidence and achieve their goals.

After over 18 years as a software engineer, Revatha’s passion for student success led her to serve on various high school boards in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Beyond her administrative roles, she built strong connections with students, gaining valuable insight into their unique challenges and aspirations. This experience inspired her to support young people more directly in their educational journeys.

Revatha has earned a College Counseling Certificate from UCLA and is a member of both the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA). She also volunteers as a College Coach at ScholarMatch, where she helps first-generation students pursue their college dreams.

I work with a small group of students each year, typically fewer than six seniors, offering personalized college counseling. Unlike larger firms, I provide each student the time and attention they deserve. My approach goes beyond admissions outcomes. I help students reflect on their interests, goals, and values to identify the right colleges.

With a background in Computer Science and Engineering and experience in the tech industry, I bring a practical, informed approach to college and career planning. As a parent in the competitive Bay Area, I understand the pressure and challenges families face. I aim to alleviate that stress and create a positive, balanced high school experience, enabling a smooth college application process for both students and parents.
